The ratio of ages of Anjali and Shalini is 3 : 2 . The ratio of age of Anjali, four years ago to the age of Shalini after one year is 4 : 3 . Find the present age of Shalini ( in years ) ?

                     3        :        2

Let Present age of Anjali = 3x  and  Present age of Shalini =  2x 

  According to question ,  Ratio of age of Anjali  four years ago to the age of Shalini after one year is 4 : 3 . 

i.e. ratio of →     Anjali    :     Shalini 

                           4        :        3 

i.e. \(\frac{3x\;-\;4}{2x\;+\;1}\)  =   \(\frac{4}{3}\)

 9x - 12 = 8x + 4 

 x = 16

As,  present age of Shalini =  2x 

 Shalini's age => 2 × 16 = 32
