Important Dates and Fee Details for Common University Entrance Test (UG) - 2025:

Common University Entrance Test (CUET (UG) – 2025) will be conducted in 13 mediums across India for admission into the Undergraduate Programmes in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for all the Central Universities (CUs) and participating Universities in India for the academic year 2025-26.

CUET Application Form:
The CUET 2025 application process began on March 01, 2025, and the closing date to apply for CUET 2025 is March 22, 2025. To guide students with the procedure, applicants can review the registration process and details for CUET 2025 in this article.
CUET 2025 Registration:
The following are a few points to keep in mind before registering for CUET 2025:
  • Reservations for candidates would be made in accordance with Government of India or Participating Universities (PU) policies. The candidate can view the whole list on the official website https://cuet.nta.nic.in .
  • Before applying for courses, applicants should carefully review the qualifying criteria, as each university has different requirements for each course. Candidates will be made responsible if they choose a programme for which they are ineligible.
  • The governing board of CUET will only accept applications online.
  • A candidate must have a valid mobile number and email address that they will use for the period of the SMS and email notifications.
  • For filling out the online CUET application form, applicants must have a high-quality picture and a signature. They can visit the official website for instructions on how to add picture and signature.
  • Applicants must properly complete the online form with no spelling errors.
How to Fill CUET 2025 Application Form:
The following are a few points to keep in mind before registering for CUET 2025:

    Visit https://cuet.nta.nic.in
    Click the 'Register' button that displays on the site.
    After clicking 'Register,' a new page will appear with a registration form
    on which you must fill out the following information:

  • Step 2: Filling Out the Application Form The following information must be filled into the application form:

    Personal Details- The candidate must fill out this section accurately and completely. After verifying the information, the applicant will go on to the next section.

    Education Details- This section needs the candidate's 10th and 12th or equivalent exam qualification details such as name of board, school details, passing year, marks achieved, or percentage obtained. After verifying the information, the applicant will go on to the next section.

    Examination Center Details- Candidates must select their preferred examination city in this section. Only two cities are available for selection. After verifying the information, the applicant will go on to the next section.

    University/Program Selection- Candidates must select a university and a course in which they wish to enroll in the future. The applicant must review the criteria of each university and course for which he or she is applying. Candidate could proceed to the next section after verifying the information.

    Test Paper | Subject(s) Selection: Candidates must choose their own subjects for this section. Candidates may select up to ten subjects from each of the three sections listed below.

    Section 1A - Languages: There are 13 different languages in this Section. Any of these languages can be selected.

    Section 1B - Languages: There are 20 different languages to choose from. Any of these languages can be selected.

    Section 2 - Domain-Specific Topic: This section includes 29 domain- specific subjects. An applicant may select any subject wanted by the relevant University/Organization.

    Section 3 - General Test: For any undergraduate degree / programmes provided by universities that utilize a General Test for admission. If the subject is domain specific, the medium of the test paper will be displayed. After verifying the information, the applicant will proceed to the next section.

    Documents Upload: Candidates must upload a scanned copy of a high- resolution image of themselves as well as a scanned copy of their signature in this area. (Photo Size: 10KB - 200KB, Signature Size: 4KB - 30KB). The following documents must also be submitted. (Document sizes range from 50kb to 300kb)

  • Step 3: Make Changes Following that, the candidate can get a preview of the application form that they submitted. They may modify the information by clicking on 'Edit Application' and making the necessary changes if they desire.

  • Step 4: Pay for the CUET 2025 Candidates can pay their CUET application fee using any of the standard online payment methods (net banking/ credit card/ debit card/PayTm). The applicant's fee status (paid/unpaid) will be clearly displayed on the form.

  • Step 5: Save the Application Form Candidates can save the application form for later use.

For CUET (UG) – 2025, fees will be charged based on the number of subjects chosen by the candidates. The following fee structure is applicable for CUET (UG) - 2025:

*Other Backward Classes-Non Creamy Layer as per the central list of Other Backward Classes available on National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC), Government of India website www.ncbc.nic.in. Only the candidates falling in this list may mention OBC in the Category Column. State list OBC candidates who are not in OBC-NCL (Central List) must choose General/Unreserved.

**As per the OM No. 20013/01/2018-BC-II dated 17 January 2019, issued by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the OM No. 12-4/2019-U1 dated 17.01.2019 of MHRD Department of Higher Education regarding t h e implementation of reservation for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) for admission in Central Educational Institutions.

      The option of language for Question Paper should be exercised while filling up the Application Form online and it cannot be changed at a later stage.


      Please note that for the correctness of the questions in all the question papers, the English version will be taken as the final.

      There are 13 languages and 23 domain specific subjects and General Aptitude Test. A candidate may choose any subject/language as desired by the applicable University/ Organization.

      Note:

      1. From the above subjects/languages, the candidate can choose a maximum of 05 subjects from all three Sections.

      2. 50 out of 50 questions for all test papers and 50 out of 50 for the General Test (An overall choice of 10 questions will be provided for all 61 subjects).

      3. It is advisable for candidates to select at least one language and the General Test.

      4. Duration for all test papers would be 45 minutes except for Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, Accountancy, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Computer Science/Informatics Practices, and General Tests which would be 60 minutes.

      5. The examination will be conducted on multiple days in two or three shifts, depending on the number of Candidates and Subject choices.


    4. The pattern of Question Paper:

      Objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

      There are two or three shifts in a day. A candidate can choose up to 5 Subjects for taking the Exam.

      The list of Languages, Domain Specific Subjects, and General Test covered in CUET (UG) – 2025 is given in Appendix II .


    6. Duration of Test:

      The examination will be conducted on multiple days in two or three shifts per day, depending on the number of candidates and their combinations.


      Note: Compensatory time for PwBD Candidates of 20 minutes for each hour examination will be given.

Note: Compensatory time for PwBD Candidates, who are eligible for Scribe (whether such candidate uses the facility of Scribe or not) 20 minutes for each hour examination will be extended as per Govt. Guidelines. Such extra time will be extended test-wise and not in the aggregate duration of the

morning/afternoon slot.

  1. The examination will be held on multiple days, in two or three shifts in a day, depending on the number of candidates and their combinations.


  2. Though the tests are scheduled in 02 or 03 shifts, as the case may be, each test within each shift is distinct and independent of the other.


  3. A candidate has the option to choose the components of the test only. However, the allotment of candidates to the Shift will be based on the options exercised and technical and administrative considerations.

  4. Admit Cards will be issued for each shift based on the components opted by him/her. No request for a change of date/shift will be entertained.

  5. All three shifts will start at a specified time. Candidates have to report for the slot/s as per the time stated in their respective Admit Cards.
