4 - 1952 - Death of Potti Sriramulu
1 - 2000-  Formation of Jharkhand and Chattisgarh on a cultural basis

Explanation:

The partition of India happened on the basis of the religious majority in August 1947. The areas having a Muslim population in the majority were carved out from India as 2 Pakistans; East Pakistan, and West Pakistan.

Tragically, on January 30, 1948, Nathuram Vinayaka Godse, an extremist, assassinated Gandhi during his evening prayer in Delhi, bringing an end to his lifelong struggle for truth, non-violence, justice, and tolerance. He fired three bullets at him and killed him instantly.

Potti Sriramulu was a Gandhian worker and political activist in India. He left his government job to participate in the Salt Satyagraha & also actively participated in individual Satyagraha movements, advocating for civil rights and social justice. In 1946, he undertook a fast demanding the opening of temples in Madras province to Dalits. His most notable action was the fast unto death he started on October 19, 1952, demanding a separate state of Andhra Pradesh for Telugu-speaking people. Sadly, he died during the fast on December 15, 1952.

On the basis of a separate regional culture or complaints of regional imbalance in development, the states of Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, and Jharkhand, were created in the year 2000.
