The ratio of the speeds of two scooters is 9 : 5. If the second scooter nuns 75 km in 6 hours, then what is the speed (in km/h) of the first scooter? |
12.5 22.5 11.5 10.5 |
22.5 |
Distance = Speed × Time Speed = \(\frac{DIstance}{Time}\) Speed of 2nd scooter = \(\frac{75}{6}\) = \(\frac{25}{2}\) km/h Now , Ratio of Speed of 1st scooter to 2nd scooter = 9 : 5 According to question , 5R = \(\frac{25}{2}\) 1R = \(\frac{5}{2}\) 9R = 9 × \(\frac{5}{2}\) = 22.5 So , speed of 1st scooter is 22.5 km/h |
