Question:

In a company, there are only two types of employees: workers and officers. The average monthly salary of an officer is ₹78,000 more than the combined average monthly salary of an employee, while the combined average monthly salary of an employee is ₹42,000 more than the average monthly salary of a worker. What percentage of all the employees are officers?

Options:

28%

35%

30%

32%

Correct Answer:

35%

Explanation:

Let average monthly salary of workers = A

Average salary of Employee = A + 42000

Average Monthly salary of Officer = A + 78000 + 42000 = A + 120000

Using Allegation Method ,

Total number of employee = 21 + 39 = 60

Percentage of Workers =  \(\frac{21}{60}\) × 100

= 35%
