A and B start a business with investment of Rs.36,000 and Rs.63,000 resp. But C joins their business with the condition that all profit will distributed in the ratio 1 : 1 : 1. For this C gives Rs.55,000 to A and B. Find how much amount B will receive from C (in Rs.).

Multiply (i) by 3 so that it can be distributed easily in the ratio 1 : 1 : 1.

                       A       :       B        :        C

Old Profit   :   12      :       21      :       ---     =  33R

New Profit :    11     :       11      :       11    =   33R

Here,

A's profit decreased by = 1R  and

B's profit decreased by = 10R

Total Decreased = 1 + 10 = 11R

For that loss C gives Rs.55000 to A and B.

Therefore,

11R = 55000

1R = 5000

B will receive = 10R = 10 × 5000 = 50,000
