J₁ can do a piece of work alone in 10 days, J₂ can do the same work alone in 12 days, while J₃ can do it alone in 15 days. They work together and complete the work, and receive a total of ₹2,250 for doing the work. What is the difference in the shares of J₁ and J₃ ?

J1 = 10 days, J2 = 12 days, J3 = 15 days,

⇒ Amount paid to them for completing the work together = Rs. 2250.

⇒ (6 + 5 + 4)x = 2250,

⇒ 15x = 2250,

⇒ x = Rs. 150.

⇒ Difference between shares of L1 and L3 = (6 - 4) x 150 = 2 x 150 = Rs. 300.
