Answer & explanation
Correct answer: option 2
The assertion that neo-analytic theorists expanded on Freud's psychoanalytic theory by emphasizing human qualities like creativity and problem-solving abilities is true. However, the reason given, stating that neo-analytic theorists sought to differentiate their work from Freud's original theory, is not the correct explanation. While neo-analytic theorists did differentiate their work, it was not solely due to emphasizing human qualities. They also introduced new concepts, revised Freud's ideas, and explored different aspects of personality, contributing to the field of psychoanalysis.
