Legal education in the UK consists of a three-year LL.B., directly after secondary school. Graduates from fields other than law and non-graduates can become solicitors, but the LL.B. is the most straightforward path. To become a Barrister, graduates are required to complete the Bar Vocational Course (BVC) instead of the LPC and then seek a "pupillage" instead of a training contract.
