Match Fund is a special fund: receipts for the purpose are added to it and the match expenses are deducted from it, not charged to the Income and Expenditure Account.
Match Fund ₹16,000 + Donation for match fund ₹10,000 + Sale of match tickets ₹14,000 = ₹40,000
Less: Match expenses ₹32,000
Balance of Match Fund = ₹8,000 (credit), shown on the liabilities side of the Balance Sheet
The expenses are fully met by the fund, so nothing is shown in the Income and Expenditure Account. Only if the expenses exceeded the fund would the excess be charged to it.
