The ratio of present age of Abhi and Vishal is 7 : 8 . After 6 years from now , the ratio of their ages will be 8  : 9 . If Kartik's present age is 10 years more than the present age of Abhi . Then find present age of Kartik (in years)?

                          7    :       8

Let the present age Abhi  =  7x    &     present age of Vishal  = 8x

After 6 years ,

According to question , 

ratio of →       Abhi    :   Vishal

                          8    :      9        

\(\frac{7x\;+\;6}{8x\;+\;6}\) = \(\frac{8}{9}\)

63x + 54 = 64x + 48

x = 6   

  present age Abhi  =  7x       

age of Abhi = 7 × 6 = 42

Kartik is 10 years older than Abhi . 

Then,   age of Kartik = 42 + 10  = 52 years
