Question:

A person buys 353 articles at ₹2689. He sells \(\frac{5}{11}\) part of all articles each at 27% loss. At what profit percent he has to sell remaining each article so that he would get neither profit nor loss in the whole transaction?

Options:

18%

27.5%

22.5%

25%

Correct Answer:

22.5%

Explanation:

Let the total articles are 11 & the cost price of each article is Rs. 1

\(\frac{5}{11}\) of 11 = 5 × \(\frac{73}{100}\) = 3.65

Remaining 6 article to be sold at 6 + 1.35 = 7.35

Profit % = \(\frac{1.35}{6}\) × 100 = 22\(\frac{1}{2}\)%
