Question:

A and B started a business and out of a total profit of Rs.5900, B takes Rs.700 as a bonus and the remaining profit distributed between them according to their investment. If B invested \(\frac{1}{6}\) more than A. Then find the share of B out of the total profit.

Options:

2800

3100

3500

2400

Correct Answer:

3500

Explanation:

Total profit = 5900

Extra taken by B =700

Remaining profit = 5900 - 700 = 5200

*If time is same then investment ratio becomes profit ratio*

            A    :   B

Profit:  6    :   7  = 13R

⇒ 13R = 5200

⇒ 1R = 400

B's Profit = 7R = 7 × 400 = 2800

B' s total profit = 2800 + 700 = 3500
