Three years ago, Mayank's age was 3 times of her son's age and after 2 years, 4 times of his age will be equal to 9 times his son's age. Find the present age of Mayank .

Let the present age of Mayank = 3x + 3 

present age of Mayank's son = x + 3 

Now, after 2 years 

According to question , 4 ( 3x + 5) = 9( x+ 5 ) 

                                 12x + 20 =  9x + 45

                                        3x  =  25 years

                                          x = \(\frac{25}{3}\) years 

present age of Mayank = 3 × \(\frac{25}{3}\) + 3 = 28 years
