In a job, L₁, L₂ and L₃ work for 3, 4 and 6 days, respectively. The ratio of the daily wages of L₁, L₂ and L₃ is 2 : 3 : 1, respectively. If they receive ₹2,400 as the total wages, then what is the share of L₁ ?

Wages ratio,

L1 : L2 : L3 = 2 : 3 : 1 

⇒ Total amount for wages = Rs. 2400

⇒ 3 days x 2 : 4 days x 3 : 6 days x 1 = L1 : L2 : L3

⇒  L1 : L2 : L3 = 1 : 2 : 1

⇒ (1 + 2 + 1)x = Rs. 2400.

⇒ 4x = 2400

⇒ x = Rs, 600,

Therefore, share of L1 is 1 x 600 = Rs. 600.
