Case: Read the passage and answer accordingly An LCR circuit, also known as a resonant circuit, tuned circuit, or an RLC circuit, is an electrical circuit consisting of an inductor (L), capacitor (C) and resistor (R) connected in series or parallel. The LCR circuit analysis can be understood better in terms of phasors. A phasor is a rotating quantity. The quality factor is defined as the ratio of the voltage drop across the inductor or capacitor to that of applied voltage. It measures the sharpness of resonance of an LCR circuit. |
If the value of C in a series RLC circuit is decreased, the resonant frequency; |
Remains the same Decreased Increased Cannot say |
Increased |
vr ∝ 1/√C So the resonance frequency is increased when C decreased. |
