Question:

If (x + 10)% of 200 is $33\frac{1}{3}$% more than x% of 180, then 10% of (x + 20) is what percent less than 40% of x?

Options:

55

60

70

65

Correct Answer:

65

Explanation:

( x + 10)% of 200 = \(\frac{4}{3}\) × x% of 180

( x + 10) × 5 = 6x

x = 50

Now , 10% of (x+20)

=  \(\frac{1}{10}\) × 70 = 7

And , 40% of x

=  \(\frac{2}{5}\) × 50 = 20

7 is less than 20 by percentage = \(\frac{20-7}{20}\) × 100 = 65%
