A and B travel from X to Y at the speed of 60 km/hr and 100 km/hr respectively . If B takes \(\frac{2}{5}\) hour lesser time than A , then what is the distance between the X and Y ?

Options:

40 km

45 km

50 km

60 km

Correct Answer:

60 km

Explanation:

Ratio                    A    :    B 

                          60    :    100

 Speed                  3    :    5

 Time                    5    :    3

 ( Distance = Speed × Time , so ratio of speed and time is inverse to each other  )

According to question , 

2R = 24 minutes 

1R = 12 minutes 

5R = 60 minutes = 1 hour

Distance = 60  ×  1  = 60 km
