The total marks obtained by students C, D and F in Science is what percent more than the total marks obtained by B in Science, Hindi and Social Studies?

Options:

12.2

10.5

12.5

11.1

Correct Answer:

12.5

Explanation:

Science marks of C , D & F = ( 85% + 75% + 65% ) of 80

=   \(\frac{225}{100}\) × 80

= 180

Total marks of B in Science, Hindi and Social Studies = 75% of 80 + 68% of 75 + 49% of 100

= 60 + 51 + 49

= 160

 Required percentage = \(\frac{180 - 160}{160}\) × 100

= \(\frac{20}{160}\) × 100

= 12.5%
