Question:

Find the height of a right pyramid if its base is a square of side 80 cm and the volume of the pyramid is 16000 cm3.

Options:

4.5 cm

7.5 cm

2$\sqrt{2}$ cm

2.5 cm

Correct Answer:

7.5 cm

Explanation:

We know that,

Volume of pyramid = \(\frac{1}{3}\) × area of base × height

The side of the base = 80 cm

Volume = 16000 cm3

According to the question , 16000 = \(\frac{1}{3}\) × 802 × height

16000 = \(\frac{1}{3}\) × 6400× height

48000 = (6400 × height)

 height = 7.5
