Observe the diagram and answer the following question. |
The cell which help/stimulate other cell in producing the molecule shown in diagram is: |
B-lymphocytes T-lymphocytes Neutrophils Macrophages |
T-lymphocytes |
The correct answer is Option (2) – T-lymphocytes B cells are a type of white blood cell that plays a crucial role in the immune response by producing antibodies, which are proteins that help neutralize pathogens such as bacteria and viruses. One type of cell that helps stimulate B cells to produce antibodies is the T helper cell. T cells interact with B cells. When a pathogen enters the body, specialized immune cells called antigen-presenting cells (APCs) ingest the pathogen and display fragments of it on their surface. T cells recognize these fragments, called antigens, and become activated. Activated T cells migrate to and interact with B cells that have also encountered the same pathogen. The interaction between T cells and B cells is crucial for the activation and differentiation of B cells into plasma cells. Plasma cell secretes antibodies. |
