How many squares are there in the following figure? |
66 71 57 76 |
66 |
The number of squares in below diagram are; ROW = 05, COLUMN = 03 Row is not equal to Column And, the logic followed here is; Row's highest number is 05 Column's highest number is 03 So, 05x03= 15 (multiply until Row or Column becomes zero) 04x02= 08 03x01= 03 02x0= 0 Therefore, 15+08+03= 26 number of squares
(ii) ROW = 03, COLUMN = 06 Row is not equal to Column The logic followed here is; Row's highest number is 03 Column's highest number is 06 So, 03x06= 18 (multiply until Row or Column becomes zero) 02x05= 10 01x04= 04 0x03= 0 Therefore, 18+10+04= 32 number of squares
(iii) So, 02x02= 04 01x01= 01 0x0= 0 Therefore, 04+01+0= 05 number of squares
(iv) Remaining square 01 is; Therefore, 26+32+05+01+02= 66 square in the figure. |
