8 person went to a hotel for taking their meal. 7 of them spent ₹12 each on their meals and the 8th person spent ₹14 more then the average expenditure of all of them. What was the total money spent by all of them?

Let the average expenditure = A

Total expenditure of 7 person = 12 × 7 = 84

Expenditure of 8th person = A + 14

Total expenditure of all person = 8 × A = 8A

ATQ,

84 + (A + 14) = 8A

A + 98 = 8A

7A = 98

A = 14

Total expenditure = 14 × 8 = Rs. 112
