Question:

A. B and C started a business on partnership by investing ₹40000, ₹50000 and ₹70000 respectively. After 4 months A invested ₹20000 more. After 2 more months D also joined the business by investing ₹60000. After 2 more months C withdrew ₹10000. Find the sum of the shares of C and D in the profit of ₹92100 earned at the end of the year.

Options:

₹42800

₹43500

₹44265

₹44515

Correct Answer:

₹44515

Explanation:

Profit Ratio = Inv. Ratio × Time ratio

Here,

Total profit ratio = (48 + 60 + 56 + 16 + 36 + 24 )R = 240R

According to question,

240R = 92100

1R = 383.75

Total profit of C (+ C') and D = ( 56 + 24 + 36)R = 116R

= 116 × 383.75 = Rs. 44515

Note:

Here, A & A' are same person, C & C' are same person.

{A' and C' are used for the 2nd condition of investment}
