Question:

The length and breadth ratio of an auditorium is 3 : 2. If the roof area is 216 square meters and the area of the four walls is 480 square meters, then what will be the height of the auditorium?

Options:

10 m

9 m

8 m

7 m

Correct Answer:

8 m

Explanation:

l = 3x, b = 2x

Now,

⇒ Area of roof = 3x × 2x = 216

               6x2 = 216

                  x = 6

⇒ Area of the four walls:

2h (l+b) = 480

2h (6 × 3 + 2 × 6) = 480

2h = \(\frac{480}{30}\)

2h = 16

h = 8m
