At what interval was the census conducted after 1881?

Census is a special survey which is conducted to know the population growth, birth rate, death rate etc. of the country. After 1881, it was conducted every 10 years down the line. The latest census was conducted in the year 2011, which acts as a base to any set of data. Lately, the census had to be conducted in 2021 but due to covid19 pandemic it has been delayed.
