There are 8 tyres on each truck, irrespective of the brand of the truck. What is the average number of tyres per brand?

Options:

280

300

260

240

Correct Answer:

280

Explanation:

Total number of tyres on all truck of all brand = 45× 8 + 35× 8 + 36×8 + 44× 8 + 28× 8 + 22× 8

= 360 + 280 + 288 + 352 + 224 + 176

= 1680

Average number of tyres per brand = \(\frac{1680 }{6}\)

= 280
