Salaries of A and B are in the ratio 4 : 5 . If the salary of each is increased by ₹3000 then new ratio becomes 5 : 6 . What is A's salary?

 & Actual salary of B's  = 5R

Now, ATQ

⇒ \(\frac{4R\;+\;3000}{5R\;+\;3000}\) = \(\frac{5}{6}\)

⇒ (24R ) + (18000) = (25R ) + (15000 )

⇒ R = 3000

A's salary = 4R =  4 × 3000  = Rs.12000/-
