Primary sector is the main source of employment for majority of workers in India. The primary sector includes all those activities the end purpose of which consists in exploiting natural resources: agriculture, fishing, forestry, mining, deposits. Though both men and women workers are concentrated in the primary sector, women workers’ concentration is very high there.
