The average salary per head of the machine operator is ₹25000 and that of labours is ₹6000. What is the number of workers in the unit if there are 3 machine operators ?

Given c= ₹6000

d= ₹25000

m= ₹7500

Let no. of labours be x

$\frac{x}{\text{no. of machine operator}}=\frac{d-m}{m-c}$

$\frac{x}{3}=\frac{17500}{1500}$

$x= 35$

∴Total no. of workers $= 35+3= 38$
