If the perimeter of a certain rectangle is 50 units and its area is 150 sq. units, then how many units is the length of its shorter side?

We know that,

Perimeter of the rectangle = 2(l + b)

2 (l + b) = 50

= (l + b) = 25

Put l = 15 and b = 10, then ,

Area of the rectangle = lb = 10 × 15 = 150 (satisfied)

So, the length of breadth  = 10 cm
