The lengths of a pair of parallel sides of a trapezium are 20 cm and 25 cm, respectively, and the perpendicular distance between these two sides is 14 cm. What is the area (in cm² ) of the trapezium?

We know that,

Area of trapezium = \(\frac{1}{2}\) × Sum f the parallel sides × Perpendicular distance between the parallel sides

Now,

Area = \(\frac{1}{2}\) × (20 + 25) × 14  = 45 × 7 = 315 cm²
