Question:

A batsman scored 120 runs, which included 4 sixes and 6 fours. What percentage of his total score did he make by running between the wickets (runs that were scored only by running between the wickets and not by hitting fours and sixes)?

Options:

30%

40%

60%

50%

Correct Answer:

60%

Explanation:

Given :- Total Runs  120

Runs scored by fours = 6 × 4 = 24

Runs scored by sixes = 4 × 6 = 24

Total runs scored by boundaries and sixes = 24 + 24 = 48

Runs scored by running between the wickets = 120 – 48 = 72

Required percentage = \(\frac{72}{120}\) × 100%

= 60%
