Question:

If two cubes made of iron, each of side 10 mm are dropped in a tumbler containing 200 c.c. of water, what will be the net volume (in ml) of the contents of the tumbler?

Options:

201

202

200002

200001

Correct Answer:

202

Explanation:

We know that,

Volume of the cube = (side)3

We have,

Side of cube = 10 mm or 1 cm

Volume of the cube = 1 cm3

The volume of the two cubes = 2 cm3

2 cm3 = 2 ml ( 1 cm= 1 ml)

So, the total volume = 200 + 2 = 202 ml
