Lack of storage facilities

The current infrastructure facilities are quite inadequate to meet the growing demand and need to be improved. Infrastructure facilities like roads, railways, warehouses, godowns, cold storages and processing units are not properly developed. Due to inadequacy of storage facilities, a large amount of food items is wasted.

Whereas, markets are regulated by the state for a more transparent marketing conditions and fair pricing of crops.
