Name the author of the famous Tamil text "Silappadikaram".

The correct answer is Option (1) → Ilango

The Silappadikaram (“the tale of the anklet”) was composed by Ilango Adigal, traditionally a Chera prince who became a monk. It tells the story of Kovalan and his wife Kannagi, whose anklet is at the centre of the plot, and is one of the great epics of early Tamil literature, along with its sequel, the Manimekalai.
