Question:

Find the equation of a line passing through (-2, 3) and having a slope of -1

Options:

$x+y=-1$

$x-y=-1$

$x-y=1$

$x+y=1$

Correct Answer:

$x+y=1$

Explanation:

Here, m = -1,

(x1, y1) = (-2,3)

Therefore, equation of line is

Y − y1 = m(x−x1)

y − 3 = -1(x−(-2))

y − 3= -x - 2

x + y = 1
