Options:

27

25

35

87

Correct Answer:

25

Explanation:

Average of two numbers = 56

Sum of two number = 56 × 2 = 112

Let smaller number = a

and Bigger number = 112 - a

According to question ,

\(\frac{a + 4 }{112-a}\) = \(\frac{1}{3}\)

3aa + 12 =  112 - a

4a = 100

a = 25

So, Smaller number is = 25
