The total marks obtained by student Q in Physics and Hindi are what percentage (rounded off to the nearest integer) more than the total marks obtained by student T in Geography and History?

Options:

45

49

56

38

Correct Answer:

45

Explanation:

Marks of Q in  physics and Hindi = \(\frac{9}{10}\) × 80 + \(\frac{54}{100}\) × 100

= 72 + 54 = 126

Marks of T in geography and History = \(\frac{88}{100}\) ×75 + \(\frac{42}{100}\) × 50

= 66 + 21 = 87

Required percentage = (\frac{126 - 87}{87}\) × 100

= (\frac{39}{87}\) × 100

= 44.82%

45% ( nearest integer )
