S. Nijalingappa was not a scientist. Also, he was a member of the constituent assembly but not the Drafting Committee. S. Nijalingappa (1902-2000) was a distinguished leader within the Congress party, known for his seniority and significant contributions. He played an instrumental role as a member of the Constituent Assembly and later as a member of the Lok Sabha. Notably, he served as the Chief Minister of the erstwhile Mysore State, now Karnataka, and is often acknowledged as the maker of 'Modern Karnataka'. On 29th August 1947, the drafting committee of the Indian Constitution was appointed and had seven members: Alladi Krishnaswami Ayyar, N. Gopalaswami, B.R.
