A father's age is one year more than 6 times of his son's age.  After 2 years, the father's age would be 1 years less than five times the son's age.  Find the present age of the father.

⇒ F = 6S + 1     ..................(i)

After 2 years:

⇒ F + 2 = 5(S + 2) - 1

⇒ F + 2= 5S + 10 - 1

⇒ F = 5S + 7 

⇒ 6S + 1 = 5S + 7                ( from (i) )

⇒ S = 6

⇒ Therefore, age of Father = 6S + 1 = (6 × 6) + 1 = 37 years
