Question:

If \(\frac{1}{x}\) ∶ \(\frac{1}{y}\) ∶ \(\frac{1}{z}\) = 2 : 3 : 5, then x : y : z = ?

Options:

2 : 3 : 5

15 : 10 : 6

6 : 10 : 15

5 : 3 : 2

Correct Answer:

15 : 10 : 6

Explanation:

\(\frac{1}{x}\) ∶ \(\frac{1}{y}\) ∶ \(\frac{1}{z}\) = 2 : 3 : 5

⇒ x : y : z = \(\frac{1}{2}\) ∶ \(\frac{1}{3}\) ∶ \(\frac{1}{5}\)

⇒ x : y : z = \(\frac{1}{2}30\) ∶ \(\frac{1}{3}30\) ∶ \(\frac{1}{5}30\)

(Multiplying with LCM)

⇒ x : y : z =  15 : 10 : 6
