70% of students in a class are girls and 70% of the girls have chosen soccer as their favourite sport. If 98 girls have chosen soccer as their favourite sport, what is the total number of students in the class?

Let total number of students = 100x

Number of girls = 70% of 100x = 70x

Number  of Girls soccer player = 70% of 70x = 49x

According to question ,

49x = 98

x = 2

100x = 200

So , total number of students = 200
