Four milkmen A, B, C and D hired a pasture. A had 18 cows that graze for 4 months, B had 25 cows that graze for 2 months, C had 28 cows that graze for 5 months and D had 21 cows that graze for 3 months. If A paid Rs. 360 then what was the rent of the pasture?

Then, rent for each partners = no. of cows × time

No.   :  18  :  25  :  28    :  21

Time :   4   :   2   :   5     :   3  

Rent :  72  :  50  :  140  :  63  = 345

So rent paid by A = 72R = 360

1R = 5

Total Rent = 345R = 345 × 5 = Rs.1725
