The ratio of the speed of a bus to that of a train is 15 : 27. Also, a car covers a distance of 720 km in 9 hours. The speed of the bus is tree-fourths of the speed of the car. How much distance will the train cover in 7 hours? |

Distance = Speed × Time Speed = \(\frac{DIstance}{Time}\) Speed of car = \(\frac{720}{9}\) = 80 km/h According to question , Speed of bus = \(\frac{3}{4}\) × Speed of car = \(\frac{3}{4}\) × 80 = 60 km/h Now , Ratio of Speed of bus to that of train = 15 : 27 15R = 60 1R = 4 So , 27R = 27 × 4 = 108 km/h i.e Speed of train = 108 km/h Time taken = 7 hours So distance = 108 × 7 = 756 km |
