The sum of the present ages of a father and his son is 94 years. 8 years ago their respective ages were in the ratio of 2 : 1. After 10 years what will be the ratio of ages of father and son ?

Lets assume,

Age of father, 8 years ago = 2x

Age of son, 8 years ago = x

Given 2x + 8 + x + 8 = 94 ( sum of present ages)

       ⇒ x = 26

Present age of father = 60

Present age of son = 34

Ratio of ages of father and son after 10 years = \(\frac{60 + 10}{34 + 10}\) = \(\frac{70}{44}\)
