Question:

The diameter of the base of a right-circular cylinder is 12 cm and the height of the cylinder is 2.45 times the radius of its base. Find the volume of the cylinder [Use π = $\frac{22}{7}$]

Options:

1636.2 cm3

1666.2 cm3

1663.2 cm3

1665.2 cm3

Correct Answer:

1663.2 cm3

Explanation:

We know that,

Volume of cylinder = πR2H

We have,

The diameter = 12cm

Then, the radius of cylinder = 6 cm

Height = 2.45 times the radius of the cylinder.

According to the question,

Height of the cylinder = 2.45 × 6 = 14.70 cm

Volume of cylinder = πR2H = \(\frac{22}{7}\)× 62 × 14.70= 1663.2 cm2
