4 years ago, the age of Garvit was three times that of Yuvansh, but one year ago the age of Garvit was two times that of Yuvansh. What is the difference between the ages of Garvit and Yuvansh?

Lets assume four years ago age of Garvit be 3x and age of Yuvansh be x

ATQ, 

\(\frac{3x + 3}{x + 3}\) = \(\frac{2}{1}\)

3x + 3 = 2x + 6

x = 3

So , Age of Garvit = 3 × 3 = 9 years & age of Yuvansh = 3 years

Difference in their age = 9 - 3 = 6 years
