Practicing Success
A, B and C start a business. A contributes\(\frac{1}{5}\)th of the total capital, B contributes as much as A and C together contribute. If the total profit at the end of the year was Rs.5200, then find the profit share of C. |
Rs. 1510 Rs. 2510 Rs. 1500 Rs. 1560 |
Rs. 1560 |
Let the total investment = 5R Then, A's investment = 5R × \(\frac{1}{5}\) = 1R Remaining investment = 4R ATQ, Inv. of (A + C) = B, Therefore, A : B : C Inv. : 1 : 2.5 : 1.5 Inv. : 2 : 5 : 3 Profit: 2 : 5 : 3 = 10R So, 10R = 5200 (given) 1R = 520 C's Profit = 3R = 3 × 520 = 1560
