A 150 m long train is running with a speed with a speed of 68 kmph. In what time will it pass a man who is running at 8 kmph in the same direction as that of the train ?

9 sec

Explanation:

Relative speed ( Move in same direction ) = 68 - 8= 60 kmph

= 60 × \(\frac{5}{18}\) m/sec

= \(\frac{50}{3}\) m/sec

Time taken by train to cover 150 m

= \(\frac{Distance }{Speed}\)

= \(\frac{150 ×3}{50}\)

= 9 sec

The correct answer is option (3) : 9 sec
